Sofradir EC's Infrared Sensitive Cards offer users of infrared optical devices an easy way to locate laser beams and estimate beam-size, troubleshoot problem areas and test infrared emitting devices.
These easy-to-use cards consist of an IR-sensitive phosphor material (2"x 2") laminated in clear plastic. After being exposed to room light (400-500nm) for about one minute (for activation of the phosphor), these cards will emit a visible glow when illuminated by near-infrared radiation. The intensity of the glow depends on the intensity of the infrared illumination. Applications include: laser beam finding, alignment and beam-sizing approximation, IR remote control troubleshooting, IR security system alignment and testing.
